>> Bill Howell, 24Feb2022 - I feel obliged to comment on a [recurring, dominant] observation across general issues : Females are leaving their distinctive mark on [public discourse, leadership, democracy], and it isn't all chocolate cake and roses. Not that this is unique either. After all, since the mid-1980's, when I first became outraged with scientists in general (at that time, [dioxin, CFCs-ozone, classical Artificial Intelligence, etc]), I have evolved my mantra of "turbic" (not turbid) thinking and behaviour by essentially ALL [government, ademic] research scientists, who up to the present are mostly male. But the small differences in [male, female] flaws are interesting, even though I'm not sure what they are <grin>. As a first guess, motherhood requires strong behaviour [patience (i.e. don't kill the kids), teach, mentor, emotional intelligence, positive faith, etc], all of which I completely lack. I suspect that all of these differences are very well described [verbal, written]ly by cultures since time immemorial, and that essentially none of modern intellectuals are capable of thinking about this "objectively" (maybe this is a rather meaningless phrase considering its usage by intellectuals). Are CHANGES in the relative portion of these characteristics (male & female) partly responsible for Canada :
- racing its way to become a third-world developing nation
- attaining status as "an adult day care center for adults"
- taking idiots all the way from kindergarten, to university professor, to political leader, bstill being idiots all the way througeducation doesn't work - there is no cure for stupidity)
- morphing democracy to a tyranny of the mob, with lip-service "rights" actually working against free thought.
- invariably believing the most ridiculous crap from scientists (again, probably more a problem with males), then enforcing these science (fashion -> cult -> religion)s onto others. [Priest, disciple]s attack the [personal, professional] lives of those with different ideas, and the overwhelming majority of mainstream scientists effectively muzzle the [rare, only] scientists capable of fixing horribly flawed science religions, then moving forward conceptually.
All of this was warned about with the implementation of democracies, and perhaps it's better than putting up with the sometimes [priviledged, garbage] progeny of good people. This class tends to grow and blow, ultimately becoming far more a liability than asset. Ibn Khaldun 1400 (eg Muqquadimmah) suggestred 3-4 generations from heroic generation to shit.
It may be better to evolve to a superior system, for which we may need to learn from Ranchers?

From one crook to another…it's a battle for the Joker of the Year award between the CDC and FDA.

Tom – funny! I’ve actually long appreciated CDC data and information retrieval systems. Unfortunately, they may be “poisoned by the politically-correct new legions”, like the rest of society. I despair that few will ever understand the old adage “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” I gave up in Canada some years back, and should perhaps check if we’ve progressed here, but I have zero faith in our [scientist, health, policy, media] experts. It’s amazing how many people refuse to watch our garbage news media now – thank goodness for John O’Sullivan &colleagues’ PSI newsletter and the like. (Actually, John O’Sullivan’s name isn’t in the emails any longer. I just realised this, probably years later).
